Introduction

Without a mentor, you are void of a ladder, and without a ladder, climbing to your predestined leadership position in the world system you were sent to earth to infiltrate, impact, influence and transform remains a religious confession, a fantastic notion, a vain hope and a pipe dream.

In his “Leadership Lexicon,” Nya’ describes a mentor as HE who knows your frailties but recognizes your difference, acknowledges your unique gift and knows the demands and requisite provision of your divine leadership assignment. He also describes a mentor as HE who understands your past, accepts your present and believes in your future; a future that is not ahead of you, but hidden deep inside you where no Man can locate hence cannot enter to make unauthorized alterations, withdrawals, abuse, corrupt, or destroy.

The artist further describes a mentor as HE who facilitates your destiny and supernaturally helps you to consummate what generations, decades and years of toiling, jobbing, begging and saving could never help you attain. The artist concludes his description of a mentor by defining him as someone whose Word you revere, whose counsel you heed, whose commands you never question but hastily obey and whose principles you embrace, meditate upon, passionately interrogate and upon understanding, formulate your plan and strategy to deliver you to your inventoried objectives and clearly envisaged goals.

A keen observance of Nya’s definitions of a mentor, his discourse on mentorship and the incalculable rewards of following the mentor’s counsel, obeying his decrees, commandments and applying his tried and tested principles that he believes can transform any ordinary person into a world transformer can only be humanity’s perfect model of a mentor and true leader, Jesus.

While He was physically on earth, Jesus, as the authentic and perfect mentor, always inspired, encouraged and motivated His disciples. He stimulated trust by staying on His divine purpose and assignment. By only saying what He heard his Heavenly Father say and doing what He saw Him do, Jesus, as the perfect mentor and true leader, exhibited to His disciples how Man, as a steward of this planet can recreate the world of Heaven in the field he was called to lead and the world system he was sent to transform.

The perfect mentor and true leader also empowered His disciples and provided them with opportunities to excel. As mentor, the Son of Man also gave His disciples a clear vision and clear instructions. Never believing that their past or present conditions was an indicator of their future, Jesus was the perfect mentor who continually painted in His mentees’ minds a crystal portrait of the great exploits, and wondrous feats that would supersede His works that awaited them in their future. By so doing, He erased the dreadful pictures of a dreary destiny their traditional, religious, and colonized society had etched on their conscience.

Perhaps most importantly, as the perfect mentor and true leader, Jesus protected and preserved the future and legacy of His protégées by constantly preparing and warning them of the ‘perilous times’ that would besiege them upon His departure. To understand and appreciate the pragmatic and prudent character of humanity’s perfect model of a mentor and true leader, understanding what the term ‘perilous times’ means is key.

Rooted in the words hazardous, treacherous and wounding, perilous times connotes a wild, dangerous and risky season that is unpredictable, volatile and charged with tension and the stench of death. The term “perilous times” also paints a picture of a gloomy, bleak, confusing and menacing time for communities, ethnicities, nations, and the world at large; an age where people become ungrateful, unappreciative and unthankful because they feel entitled to everything. It is a period where Man is inflated with pride, lacks self-restraint hence he easily, nonchalantly and without remorse, breaks covenants. It is also a time where society grows darker and darker due to the destructive winds of covetousness that erodes humanity’s natural affection and Man’s commitment to his family and responsibility to his community and country.

In the midst of such perilous times, Jesus told his disciples that they would thrive and become the light in a dark world, the solution center for the corrupt systems of this world, and the mountain of refuge, solace and hope for the nations. In actuality, this is a testimony that shows how as the perfect mentor and true leader, Jesus was confident of His disciples’ ability and saw them as true leaders with the capacity to preserve the earth from decadence by solving the problem of leadership beseeching the world.

As represented by the x-rays from “Heir of Inheritance,” selected for this book, ”The perfect sample of a true leader,” when you are filled with The Holy Spirit, you are no longer a slave to the systems of this world but a citizen of Heaven hence an ambassador assigned to earth to pursue and fulfill the will of your home country.

Furthermore, when you are filled with The Holy Spirit, who is The Spirit of leadership personified, the embodiment of excellence and the embodiment of true greatness, you are not a religious Christian but a son of God. And because you a son, it also means that you are a joint heir with humanity’s perfect model of a true leader, Jesus, who stripped the devil of all the power he had over the colony of earth.

In addition, when you are filled with The Holy Spirit who raised the body of Jesus from humanity’s greatest foe and master jailer, death, you are not just a mere human being prone to the maladies that plague this world. Instead, you are more than a conqueror, you are a champion with superior powers to master his gift, surpass his competition, overwhelm his enemies and emerge a victor. In other words, you are a paramount conqueror, an unrivalled and top-notch winner who is a walloping, phenomenal and prevailing force with the capacity to flatten every opposition and escape every insidious trap set by his adversaries.

Being made a son of God and mandated to rule and have dominion on earth as a king and priest is intrinsically connected with the fact that God became flesh (or a human being). Simply put, Jesus’ redemptive work restored you to your position on earth as a leader and manager, and your relationship with God as His son, His heir and joint heir with Christ, who in essence, is the perfect model of a true leader and unrivalled sample of how an heir of God ought to think, talk, live and behave.

As you shall discover and depicted, alluded to and represented in the x-rays selected for this book, ”The perfect sample of a true leader,” Jesus, who is The Word of God expressed in flesh, the only gate to the presence of God, the person of Grace, the creator of all things, the servant and perfect Man, the gracious and serving King and the appointed heir, perfect model of a true leader and Man’s co-heir of God’s inheritance, is revealed in every book of the Bible. You do not have to ponder, theologize and wonder in the delirium conclave of religion to know who Jesus is, where Jesus is from, why Jesus came to earth, where Jesus is and what Jesus has already done.

He is revealed in all 66 books of the Bible, from the 39 books in the Old Testament divided into 5 divisions, namely the Pentateuch, history, poetry or writings, major-prophets and minor-prophets to the 27 books in the New Testament. Stated differently, Jesus, He who restored you to son-ship, heir-ship and leadership reveals Himself to any Man who seeks to enter The Kingdom He brought back to humanity and remain aligned to the demands and laws of His government.
