Tablet

A tablet is a rigid flat sheet, plate, plaque, pad or slab used to receive writing. Fundamentally, it is a surface that is meant to bear a set of laws, an instruction, a command, and/or a decree. What makes a tablet an invaluable object is not the material used to create it, the person who wrote on the tablet or where the tablet is kept. But rather, the laws inscribed on it, for laws create a culture, and culture creates a society, and a society reflects the laws they have obeyed and submitted to.
