Luster is a meticulously brilliant finish on a surface with iridescence. It may refer to a thin metallic glaze (usually metallic) sometimes used on pottery to produce a rich shimmering color especially prominent in highly prized Persian pottery and antiquities. A luster finish is a portrait of the perfect union of gloss and matte  finishes. In fact, luster amalgamates the eminent qualities of each finish, the opulent tones of gloss and the subtle textures and fingerprint resistance of a matte finish.
