ARTWORK THEORY REPORT
The virtuous script, rendered in lowercase, was created by mixing gypsum powder, water, latex paint and contact cement into a thick paste which was then used to compose the relief font. However, the distinguished metal letters across the expansive canvas were created using a labyrinthine and durable method that entails the stitching of wire shaped singular miniscule caps onto the raw canvas prior to adding texture.
The composition is grounded on tightly woven canvas coated with acrylic polymer medium latex and other distinguished chemicals that ensure flexibility and a long archival life. Surface tension was bolstered by applying contact cement onto the canvas as a bonding agent with the tissue, foam board and corrugated paper. The stretcher is made of treated wood that can withstand extreme temperatures.
CONDITION OF ARTWORK REPORT
Original condition. The artist signature is rendered in gold at the bottom left corner of the canvas below the three distinguishable marks (3 ivory beads wrapped in gypsum) synonymous with select works from the series, Divine Inspiration and Voices of the earth.
