Heritage
Heritage is something that one is born into. It is the status, honor, character, riches, glory and wealth that belong to a person because that person is a member of a family, a social class, a society, a kingdom, a religious, ethnic, regional or national group.
What can be inherited or passed from one generation to the next, (both intangible and tangible) include: history, language, belief systems, traditions, the arts, artefacts, manuscripts, books, culture and customs.
Synonyms of heritage include: inheritance; estates; birthright; legacy; endowment and tradition.
