Art Restoration is the skillful work of repairing damage to original artworks - bringing them back to their original condition. However, unlike art conservation, art restoration can admit the addition of elements which were not actually pieces of the original work, but which, through experience, careful research, evaluation and analysis, are known to look just like them.
