Vanishing Point

A vanishing point is a cardinal element in many works of art. In a linear perspective drawing, the vanishing point is the single point or spot on the horizon line where parallel lines converge to give the illusion of depth. The vanishing point is what allows an artist to create paintings, drawings and photographs that have a three-dimensional look on a two-dimensional surface.
