Mosaic

A mosaic is a picture made up of small parts which are traditionally tiny tiles made out of terracotta, pieces of glass, ceramics or marble and usually inlayed into floors and walls. A mosaic is a pattern, a picture, a portrait, or an image comprised of very small regular and irregular pieces of multifariously colored stones, ceramic, tiles, terracotta, marble or glass held in position by plaster, mortar or cement. Often inlayed into walls and floors and for decoration purposes on distinguished spaces, mosaic art brilliantly shines, effortlessly glows and resplendently glistens with a spectacular, majestic and splendid array of patterns, motifs and colors that invoke glorious civilizations of Rome and Egypt from which they owe their beginning.
