Exhibition

An art exhibit or exhibition represents the gathering of art objects (sculpture, paintings, drawings, photographs, etchings etc.) into a space for a temporary event or public showing. The exhibition or show which is usually titled, may include work by a single artist, (solo exhibition), artworks on a single topic or theme, paintings from a specific era or period, pieces in a defined medium, from a defined geographic region, or a combination of all of these. Unless it is stated as a "permanent exhibition," an art exhibition usually lasts between 2 weeks to 3 months, and if the place is rented e.g. a vanity gallery, the duration of the show can be 1-7 days.
