Keeper of time. x-ray 74
The primary focus of this drawing, an original x-ray of Nya’s work “Keeper of Time,” is the perfectly rendered circles comprising every element in the composition. Aside from the two circles constituting the mirrored heads of the figure, the circles are an allusion to the Creator of the Universe.
Like the infinite shape of a circle, God is eternal. As depicted by the ever-increasing and replicating circles pervading the entire estate of the drawing plane, God has no end or beginning and His wisdom, riches, knowledge, mercy and understanding is unsearchable and immeasurable.
While the number three (3) in solid gold alludes to the trinity, the solid gold dial from where the circles are emanating and the coded Bible reference (24:10) peering from the background serve to depict the Creator as the King of glory who lives in unapproachable light and that light is now in every human who has been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into His Kingdom of Light.
As the perfectly rendered circles whose shape cannot be modified or changed, God is seamless, ageless, endless, timeless and ever in motion, ever creative and ever revealing Himself. As alluded to by the clock-like dials attached to the figure’s breast, He is an immortal God and the ancient of days who created time yet lives outside its parameters and is unperturbed by its unprejudiced nature.
The spaces inside each replicated circle represent the boundaries of time, its limited scope on earth where Man was placed to reside, reign and have dominion. In principle, God created and placed Mankind within the scope of time and although Man has free will, no human being dwells on this earth outside the confines of time.
